LBJ blindly trusted Feinberg, leading to Feinberg exerting great influence on LBJ's Middle East Policy. The increase in weapons and aid sent to Israel by LBJ was in effect a Feinberg policy. - Feinberg funded JFK's 1960 campaign with $500,000. - For this price he got control over key admin appointments related to Middle East policy. - Myer Feldman was appointed Middle East advisor. Feldman was acting essentially as a spy for Israel in the JFK White House. JFK understood this and did not submit his Middle East policy to Israeli wishes.
