He served its as director until 1925. - In 1925 he helped found the [[Palestine Foundation Fund]], which raised money in the United States for the purpose of settling Jews in Palestine. - *The PFF is just a different name Keren Hayesod in the United States.* - From 1925-28 he served on the executive committee of [[United Israel Appeal]]. - He was president of the [[Jewish National Fund]] from 1928-1930. - He was a member of the [[Jewish Agency]] and lobbied on its behalf in the United States in the 40s. - He chaired the [[World Zionist Organization]]-America section from 1956-72. - In the 40s Neumann was a close associate of [[Abba Hillel Silver]]. The two worked to lobby the US government to support the 1948 [[UN Partition Plan]]. - Neumann worked with Silver to lead the American Zionist Emergency Council(AZEC) in the 40s. The AZEC was the precursor to the [[American Zionist Council (AZC)]], which was the precursor to [[AIPAC]]. - Neumann was involved in the 1942 Biltmore Conference which resulted in the [[Biltmore Program]].
