These 'neocons' were Jewish liberals who moved to the right after seeing the USSR backing Israel's enemies. They became ingrained in the foreign policy apparatus through media and academia in the 70s/80s. * #### Fact Finding, Intel, and Spying - The ADL "fact finding" desk was/is a front for vast illegal domestic spying committed by the ADL. - Suall was an associate of Martin Luther King Jr.'s top advisor [[Bayard Rustin]]. - Rustin was an ardent Zionist, supporter of Israel, and involved in pro Israel groups. - The ADL was actively informing the FBI on civil rights leader's activity during this time. - Suall's activities were discovered in a 1993 raid on the San Francisco ADL office. - The spying activities preceding the 1993 raid are probably the largest domestic spying operation in US history by a private entity. - The ADL under Suall infiltrated groups it determined to be extremist (KKK, neo-Nazi, Arab, etc.). - They also monitored seemingly benign groups and political figures (Asian Law Caucus, trade unions, etc.). - They monitored these groups and reported their finding to the federal government. - The ADL hired private investigator Roy Bullock who spied on ~12,000 people and ~950 organizations for them. - Bullock was a CIA contractor and FBI informant. - Bullock was hired to report on anti-Israel and antisemitic people and groups. - Bullock was working under Suall. - To conceal his undercover role, the ADL paid Bullock through an ADL affiliated Jewish Attorney Bruce Hochman. - Bullock used connections in law enforcement to acquire intel on subjects. - The intel collected by Bullock was handed over to Israeli intel. - During his deposition in the legal fallout of the 1993 raid, Suall admitted he met with the [[Mossad]] in Israel to share information. - This activity indicates Suall was likely a [[Sayanim|Sayan]] (diaspora Jewish Mossad "helper"). *Mossad's involvement tells us the ADL was likely the conduit for a Mossad spying operation on American citizens and groups.* - Suall regularly released reports on hate groups and antisemitism. - Suall collaborated with watchdog groups and journalists to compile his reports. - These reports were influential within DC and elite academic spheres. #### Notable Associates - [[Benjamin Epstein]] - ADL director 1948-78 - [[Nathan Perlmutter]] - ADL director 1979-87 - [[Abraham Foxman]] - ADL director 1987-2015 - [[Arnold Forster]] - Top ADL attorney 1938-2003 ## Recommended Reading American Pravda: The ADL in American Society - Ron Unz #### References - _Los Angeles Times_. “New Details of Extensive ADL Spy Operation Emerge.” April 13, 1993. - Suall, Irwin, and Alan Schwartz. _The American Ultras: The Extreme Right and the Military-Industrial Complex_.
