# Louis Brandeis (1856-1941)
- Brandeis, a secular American Jew is one of the most important figures in early Jewish influence in the United States.
- Brandeis served on the Supreme Court for 23 years (1916-1939).
- [[Felix Frankfurter]] served as Brandeis' second hand man. Their connection was formed via Harvard Law School.
- Brandeis and Frankfurter worked closely together for 25 years. They put their disciples in positions of influence, working for the Zionist cause.
- To conceal his activities, Frankfurter served as one of many "hatchet men" employed under Brandeis.
- Frankfurter himself later became a Supreme Court justice. He employed the same methods as Brandeis; curating a network of key individuals to affect political outcomes.
- In 1916 prominent Zionist financier [[Nathan Straus]] connected Brandeis with William Blackstone.
- Blackstone was an early Christian Zionist who in 1891 created the "Blackstone Memorial," a petition to President Benjamin Harrison to bring the Jews back to Israel.
- Brandeis used Blackstone in 1916 to create a "Blackstone Memorial 2," now petitioning the Christian President Woodrow Wilson to back the Zionist project in the form of the [[Balfour Declaration]].
- The Blackstone saga is among the earliest fusions of Christianity and Zionism in America. *In particular, Christian Zionism actively pushed by Jews for Jewish interests.*
- In 1918 Brandeis was named the honorary president of the [[Zionist Organization of America (ZOA)]].
- Brandeis was praised by Zionist leader, talmudic Jew, and president of the [[World Zionist Organization]] [[Nahum Sokolow]] for his influence in securing the [[Balfour Declaration]].
#### Hugh Gibson
- Hugh Gibson was appointed in 1919 as US ambassador to Poland.
- Once there he noted the lack of purported antisemitic incidents.
- Brandeis and Frankfurter demand a meeting to confront Gibson. They told him he has done more damage to the Jewish race than anyone in the last 100 years.
- *The Jewish need for a state was always underpinned with the claims of mass European antisemitism. To claim otherwise was in direct opposition to the Zionist cause.*
#### Parushim
- Brandeis was a key member of the elite Jewish covert group [[Parushim]].
- Parushim was made up of elite Jews centered at Harvard beginning in 1913.
- They worked in secret in high positions within business/trade/media/government.
- The members worked to advance the Zionist cause through their collective influence.
