The Sayanim are Jews living outside of Israel, who are available to be used by the Israeli [[Mossad]]. - The international network has been the Jewish secret weapon for millennia. The Mossad Sayanim network was masterminded by the third Mossad Chief [[Meir Amit]] in the 1960s. - "While their allegiance to their birth country can not be doubted, each sayan recognizes a greater loyalty; the mystical one to Israel and a need to help protect it from its enemies." - [[Meir Amit]], former Mossad chief. (Thomas 2015, 412) - A Sayan will usually informally liaise with the local Mossad *Katsa*, meaning case officer/spy. - The Katsas are official Mossad agents undercover in the field. They are responsible for managing a set of agents assigned to them. They will cultivate connections with Sayanim while at their post. Katsas are present at most if not all Israeli embassies and consulates. Diplomatic offices are perfect centers for covert activity in any given country. - Sayanim are not paid and not privy to operational details, they are there to provide whatever service the Mossad may need, though they will know none of the details. - *A normal intel service the size of Mossad (small) could never afford such a worldwide network of assets. The Sayanim work for free and work at all for one reason, they are Jewish and Israel is the Jewish state, thus their loyalty is to the Jewish state over their host country.* - Example services a Sayan can provide: - Securing car rentals - Providing safe houses - Facilitating bank transfers covertly - Provide medical treatment to operatives - Supplying equipment - Running companies able to be used as a Mossad front - Facilitating backdoor access to US tech companies for the purpose of IP theft - Supplying a Mossad agent/asset legitimate employment to aid their cover story - Collect intel through basic networking (think cocktail party) - Provide false passports to agents to facilitate operations (this one is extremely common) - It is reported that in 1998 there were ~4,000 Sayanim active in the UK and ~16,000 in the US. - These numbers are staggering yet certain to have significantly risen since. - The numbers are especially notable when you know only a 100% Jewish person can be a Sayan. Beyond that the Sayanim are by and large Jews of useful influence to Mossad. Sometimes this just means they might own a small business that Mossad can use as a front, but the Sayanim overall have a propensity to be Jews of outsized influence. - Now imagine the figure of 16,000 American Sayanim in 1998. If we assume all Sayanim are adults and on average 78% of the population are adults, this would mean 1 in every 292 Jewish American Adults were/are active assets of the Israeli Mossad. - When the numbers are applied to the UK, one in 55 Jews is a Mossad sayan. #RedPill *When we find out that, in the case of the UK, one in 55 people of a certain group are active assets for a foreign spy service, what should be done about it?
