- [[Ze'ev Jabotinsky]], the founder of [[Revisionist Zionism]], was elected to the Executive Council in 1921. He resigned in 1923 after clashing with [[Chaim Weizmann]].
- In 1929 the PZE was reformed as the official [[Jewish Agency]], with a larger scope of operations, and recognition by the British authorities as legitimate.
- The Jewish Agency was formed out of the [[World Zionist Organization]].
- [[Chaim Weizmann]] led both the WZO and the Jewish Agency when the latter was formed.
